Conveniently located near the city's major freeways, Sutter Medical Center, Sacramento (SMCS) is the central point of the region's specialty children's services. SMCS provides care through Sutter General Hospital, Sutter Memorial Hospital and Sutter Center for Psychiatry, with most pediatric inpatient and outpatient care clinics currently located at Sutter Memorial Hospital.

A new 197-bed, eight-story Sutter Women's and Children's Hospital, scheduled for completion in late 2008, will bring services together in a facility featuring the latest technology for advanced diagnosis and treatment.

SMCS offers routine care and advanced specialty care for newborns through adolescents, through a team of pediatric specialists who care for pediatric patients with heart conditions, cancer, congenital abnormalities, diabetes, eating disorders, and countless other conditions.
